I don’t get it, the democrats and liberals seem to hate the Republicans, the people trying to help them out of their lousy circumstances, more than the people who are trying to kill them, the terrorists.
The liberals and democrats hate McCain and Palin so much, why not the terrorist that blew up the towers?

First. Saddam threatened us with future attacks. He had the means we know that. He gassed his own people and WMDs. The fact that we could not find the WMDs does not mean he did not have them it just means he gave them away. Saddam would not say he had gotten rid of WMDs because he would have lost face in the Arab world so he just pretended to still have them. That is why we invaded. He threatened us and he had WMDs. Heck Bill Clinton thought Saddam had WMDs.
Second. We had just suffered 9-11. Do you remember 9-11? We lost 3000 Americans to a despicable cowardly attack. Of course we were feeling vulnerable. And with Saddams constant threats about America being the "Satan, and must be destroyed," words we had to do something. Or would you have rather the president did nothing and then we were attacked again and everyone would have criticized the president for doing nothing. If the bully in the school yard keeps threatening you, you punch him in the nose first everyone knows that.
Third. Getting rid of Saddam is good for us. I feel safer. But the fact that there were no WMDs is minor and now we have to leave the country with a stable government. Will that government remain stable. who knows but if we leave now without the hope of a stable government Iran will take over Iraq?
Would you rather we do nothing and from now on every time someone threatens us just ignore them. These people will not stop until they impose their will on all of the world. They think we are less than the dirt under their feet and will do everything to destroy us. They will attack us again and I hope you are not one of the unfortunate ones killed the next time they attack. They hate us because we are not of their faith. Of course we could all become Muslims and women could wear burkas and men could beat all six of their wives. Maybe that is what you would prefer.
I remember how I felt on 9-11 and you should too. I wanted to seek revenge on the low lifes that took so many innocent lives. There were firemen going in to the second tower after the first one collapsed. You tell me how many of you would have picked up your tools and walked in to that tower knowing it was going to collapse but thinking maybe I can save one life. Tell me how many would give their life at that time. I don’t believe their are many that call themselves journalists would have the backbone to do so.
I remember 9-11 and I will not allow America to be run by someone who does not have the backbone to strike back at our enemies. Saddam threatened us and that is enough for me. I don’t care who you are if you threaten America prepare to be attacked we will not have another 9-11. We now understand how ruthless these terrorist have become. I guess I am ranting but I just watched a special showing those brave firemen going in to the second tower after the collapse of the first tower and I am offended how lax Americans have become and how soon they have forgotten those brave men. Please never forget 9-11. Remember how you felt those days after 9-11 when you wore your red white and blue ribbons. When you put your bumper sticker on saying I will never forget. Well, some of you have forgotten.
I’m independent…. I don’t… i disagree with a lot of their stances… but i also disagree with a lot of obamas…

I hate terrorists as much as the next guy, but the terrorists who blew up the towers are all dead. People that sympathize with them were not in Iraq before we invaded and made an environment that drew terrorists to it. We should be fighting terrorists, but invading countries will only create more of them.
Because Bush succeeded in keeping more terrorism off the US soil, and they are too comfortable, claiming it’s not a real threat. Like when Al Gore ridiculed Oliver North, laughing about Osama Bin Laden being a threat.
I am confused. Who said Dems liked the terrorist more than McCain and Palin? Where did that come from?
The Republicans, especially W., haven’t done much to go after the real man responsible. "he’s no longer a top priority" what a fucken bunch of shmucks our president and all republicans are.
I hear this sometimes and I actually think it is a serious question. Terrorists are hated by just about everyone but it does no good to write condemnation of them. They are beyond reaching. As an American, I am responsible for my countries policies and I must criticize when necessary.
More generally, most people do not really feel as if we are actually at war and thus internal divisions are still dominant in our nation. McCain said a few years back that democrats and republicans need to stop looking at each other as enemies and look at the terrorists as their enemies. He was right about that. It is easy to forget in this nasty political climate that most of the people who disagree with you are still good people.
Only a dummy like bush would start a war in iraq when the terrorist you speak of where in pakistan at the time. Repubs help no one but the rich.
I believe there’s less hating going on in reality. Elections are a time for heated discussions and disagreements, but I don’t believe that McCain and Obama hate each other. It’s our society that has become less tolerant of other viewpoints and less willing to participate in intelligent conversation. But to your question… the terrorists that blew up the WTC came from Afghanistan, where a legitimate offensive to find Osama Bin Laden began seven years ago. But this terrible war in Iran was based on lies and continued based on fear mongering. Now that most of the country has wised up to the Bush Administration’s mismanagement and deception, we want an administration that will focus on the needs of this country (which grow daily) and stop wasting money and lives. John McCain has tried to distance himself from this mess, UNTIL he brought Sarah, Don’t Blink… It’s God’s Will, Palin into his campaign. Honestly, I was on the fence until he chose her for VP.
I am a proud progressive democrat. I do not hate McCain and Palin but I am very confused by them.
How does a vet like McCain vote against an expansion of the GI bill.
How does Ms. Palin who owes her Sarah Barracuda prominence in High School to the fact that Title 9 entitled her to equal funding for sports programs for girls, now press to make it more difficult for women to have a choice in what they do with their bodies.
When did Bush and Company ever go after the terrorists who blew up the towers? He was the one was said he didn’t even think about Bin Laden because he wasn’t that important to him.
This is in response to Rightstuff….I have not forgotten 9/11. I’m glad someone hasn’t. People have short memories. If I remember correctly, the UN dragged their feet when the US was discussing the the plan to invade Iraq. I still believe that there were WMD’s, and Saddam had time to move them because of it.
I don’t hate McCain& Palin, I just don’t plan on voting for them. Do you equate not voting for them to be hate ?
I don’t love the terrorist who flew planes into the towers.
