It’s not "liberals" that I despise, it’s the liberal philosophical approach to politics. It is, in it’s core, the philosophical application of control. A liberal will generally deny this, unless they’re die-hard, because American liberals actually believe that they’re protecting their own freedoms by voting in people that take them away.
Universal health care, for example, isn’t "freedom" in medical care, it’s government control of something they know nothing about. Let me give you an example: If you are going to start a restaurant, would you hire a lifeguard with no experience who doesn’t want to run a restaurant but just wants to tell you how to do it as a manager? I think not. You’d want someone with experience. But somehow politicians think they know how to run the health care system. Look at what they’ve done to it since that whole thing started:
1. Skyrocketing healthcare costs – not because of the doctors, but because of red tape and regulation, lawsuits, HMO’s and Insurance companies, all of which have their own pile of regulations of their own.
2. Reduced health care. Doctors don’t run tests because people’s "insurance" doesn’t cover it…. and guess who mandates all of that? It’s not "evil insurance", it’s evil government that has both hands in the cookie jar, so to speak.
3. Increased red tape. Red tape everywhere. That’s not a mistake, that’s supposedly to increase our "safety", but what it really does is generate loopholes for lawsuits.
4. Reduced medical force. This is going to probably get worse, but many people that ordinarily would have gone for a medical profession, if they are familiar with the structure of the medical world these days, choose something else. Medicine is no longer a good career choice these days. I know quite a bit about this, personal experience.
This is a pattern, it’s not just with healthcare. Liberals that think themselves wise "regulate" industries they know little to nothing about, in the name of "public safety", or "public good", and over time, you slowly watch those industries crumble. They hold themselves up as "people that care", while sanctimoniously and publicly railroading anyone that is politically expedient for them. They are more than willing to keep the blacks poor and in the inner cities, because for some reason African Americans STILL BELIEVE THEM after the forty years of promises have yet to be fulfilled. They claim "those wascally wepublicans" are the cause of the problem, but that’s not even remotely true.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a republican. I’m not going to waste my time going over that, but it’s true, and you can do your own research and find out it’s true. That’ actually was a turning point for the African American community. MLK’s dad worked a deal with JFK, who only reluctantly supported the civil rights legislation of the day, and somehow from there the entire AA community converted from voting Republican to voting Democrat. Which is sad, because they have done NOTHING but keep them in the poor house for years.
Here are some more examples of Liberal bait and switch:
1. Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac. Public intent: To provide housing for people that couldn’t afford it. Wholeheartedly supported by the Black Caucus. Supposedly, with continued rising housing prices, would provide a permanently self-replenishing fund for housing purchases. Private intent: To line pocketbooks of officials willing to back them. President-Elect Obama took several hundred thousand in campaign contributions in the mere 3 years he was in the Senate. Actual Effect: Caused the housing crisis we’re in today. As soon as the market dropped a little (normal), the two GSE’s were no longer solvent, and many houses that people were in started to lose value, which provided negative growth to the GSE’s, which caused houses to lose more value as they were no longer able to support their mission, which produced more negative growth, etc. And we are supposed to trust them with a "fix". Right. And for the people they supposedly helped? Their credit is now worse than it was, and if you can believe this… they are actually held liable for the decrease in value of the property as INCOME by the government – fully taxable. I am acutely aware of this as my house in Florida went from being worth $450K to being worth just $152K as of the appraisal done by the bank last month.
2. Minimum wage. Oh, good heavens. In every way, Liberals have demonstrated that they’d like to determine prices for everything, whether they see it as too high or too low. Artificial tampering of the market discourages personal growth for people that can just get "a" job at "minimum wage" and that’s supposed to do it for them. What really has happened is a reduction of the quality of the American worker, as they no longer have to compete to get the same pay. This also causes a reduction in actual pay, as employers don’t have a reason to hire better employees. For the most part, they all just follow the same low standard.
I know this is long. You’ve asked why we hate liberals. It’s not liberals we hate, but liberalism. Hope this clears it up for you.
EDIT: I find it just depressingly sad that so many people believe that Conservatives don’t like "change", or that Liberalism somehow supports "freedom". Liberalism does NOT support freedom, that’s a sad misconception. Conservatives do like change. We believe in changing the world. We do NOT believe that government should be the catalyst for change; ordinary citizens going about trying to make the world a better place do that, and you don’t have to ask them. It’s in their self-interest.

They just hate freedom. Liberals tend to be free thinkers and people dedicated to the preservation of freedom.
Liberals think differently from them, and in true "Patriotic American" fashion, they hate anything that uses the freedom to disagree with them.
Mostly it’s just backlash from the hate we get from them and the fact they are trying to destroy everything we have stood for all these years.
well, even though I cosider myself a liberal, i think conservatives are getting more hate in this day and age, because the world is less old-fashioned. conservatives usually do not support change, which is a fact.

America’s "far-left" is the rest of the world’s "left-of-center".
And of course there are different types of liberals. It’s an entire spectrum of left and right, and someone can fall anywhere on that spectrum.
Most of the hate of liberals that I see is straight out of Ann Coulter’s stuff- "Liberalism is a mental illness" "Liberals are traitors."
These people have obviously been heavily influenced by the likes of Coulter and are not willing to consider other points of view.
I don’t hate liberals but I think they are dead wrong on some issues. When liberals get really aggressive about pushing their agenda on me, that’s when I become annoyed.
I’m more libertarian than anything so on some issues, liberals and I get along fine and other issues, not so well.
The republicans have ran the country in to the ground and want to continue to do so. They are just mad that things are about to change and they will have little to do with it.
My friend who is a democart ask me if there was any real Liberals left. I said yes, less than one percent of those who call themselves Liberals. Real liberals are decent people, it’s the 99%+ who call theselves liberals that we hate. They only take up that cause for their own selfish desires. They take up the cause to find a "socially" acceptable way to hate. Real Liberals don’t call people racist. They just think they are misguided and know better not to use words of hate. Self proclaimed Liberals are just hypocrites.
There is no hate toward liberals here, or anywhere. Liberals, however, have unbridled and passionate hate toward conservatives. Evidence is everywhere, just read a question or two.
Conservatives don’t hate liberals, we pity your stupidity, but we don’t hate you. You are just a conservative-in-training. One day, you’ll see the light.
Because liberals love to IMPOSE their beliefs on me and mine and to top it off they expect ME to pay for their imposition.
It’s not the liberals we hate. it’s their policies, values and beliefs. I believe they are harmful and dangerous and immoral. If I didn’t dislike the outcomes of their policies, there would be something wrong with me.
How many american of minority extraction remains in the GOP? That should give you a clue as to why many (conservatives) hate the liberal. America has long left that movement behind, all that is left for them is hatred as you can see during the McCain/Palin rallies.
A new party will splinter from the conservative pretty soon, it will be more to the center and minority-friendly.
I am a Conservative but I do not hate Liberals. But I do have a theory on why political questions on Yahoo Answers get so heated and are met with angry answers. I believe whether we are Liberal or Conservative we feel very strongly about politics, that is why we are on the political section of Yahoo Answers in the first place, and sometimes we let our feelings and opinions get in the way of answering questions fairly and with facts and instead resort to name calling. I hate to admit it but I have done it and I would assume most here are guilty of this at one time or another. Perhaps we should all listen to that motherly wisdom of "if you do not have anything nice to say do not say anything at all".
I’m not sure, but it may have something to do with progress. Conservatives don’t like change. Which is funny to me. They all praised Sarah Palin, and yet, if it weren’t for progressive thinkers, women would still be barefoot and pregnant and treated more like property rather than a human being. So I just don’t get it.
We don’t hate the liberals as people – we hate their behavior.
